Especially the selection of materials and process control require the most thorough testing and comparisons. In addition, the demand for extremely precise geometries, which extend far into the sub-µm range, involves very high investment costs in laboratory and measurement equipment. Still, WENDT does not want to rely solely on the laboratory results, but subjects the innovations to constant field testing – even on the grinding machines of its customers. Together with laboratory research, field tests and five manufacturing plants, WENDT has one of the most efficient research and development networks in the entire industry.
