The rough-grinding and cut-off wheels of the RAPOFLEX® series for free-hand cutting and rough grinding with portable grinding machines set new standards in many respects. RAPOFLEX® wheels are designed for five specific types of material.

Inox / stainless steel
Cut-off and rough-grinding wheels for the machining of different types of stainless steel. Thanks to their special iron, sulphur and chlorine-free (0.1%) bond composition, the wheels have outstanding corrosion resistance.

Steel
Specially combined for the machining of steel, the carefully selected raw materials and configuration of the reinforcement meshing perform roughing and cutting tasks admirably.

Castings
RAPOFLEX® products for castings have been designed specifically with the tough conditions in mind that prevail in foundries. Their very wear-resistant abrasive zircon corundum guarantees superior rough machining and cutting efficiency.

Non-ferrous metals
New compositions and manufacturing techniques in the production of the RAPOFLEX® non-ferrous wheels successfully prevent the undesirable side effects commonly associated with the cutting and rough grinding of non-ferrous metals, such as glazing, clogging, and dulling of the abrasive coating. Amongst the benefits are shortened cutting time and improved grinding quality.

Rock and concrete
Exceptional hardness and sharp cutting edges make silicon carbide an ideal abrasive for rock and concrete. Two exterior fibreglass reinforcement meshes provide the high level of process reliability required, even in the toughest conditions.
