A Successful Trade Fair Premiere in Stuttgart
At GrindingHub 2026 in Stuttgart, Winterthur Technology made its official trade fair debut as an independent global system supplier. From May 5 to 8, industry experts and trade visitors gathered at the Winterthur booth to experience the company’s latest developments designed to make industrial grinding processes more efficient, stable, and cost-effective. The event served as an ideal platform to exchange ideas with experts and demonstrate Winterthur’s ongoing technological leadership in precision grinding.
Advances in Conventional Grinding and E-Mobility
Highlights in conventional abrasives included high-performance ceramic grain specifications featuring precisely shaped abrasive grains that enable consistent material removal and significantly improved tool life. Winterthur also showcased its specialized Nano Series, engineered specifically for modern transmission components and e-drives to lower grinding pressure while reliably achieving demanding surface finishes. Additionally, a new range of stocked products for standard cylindrical and surface grinding was introduced, offering fast availability and a competitive price-performance ratio.

Additive Manufacturing Opens New Possibilities
Another major focus at the exhibition was the progress made in 3D-based tool manufacturing. Following successful implementation in internal cylindrical grinding, Winterthur highlighted additively manufactured tools for double-disc face grinding and external cylindrical grinding. Through digitally controlled, layer-by-layer construction, these precision-structured CBN tools feature integrated internal cooling channels and customizable slots—reducing grinding pressure, extending tool life, and delaying required dressing cycles.
